e-Council Announces New EB-5  Webinar Series for Attorneys and Business Professionals

BOCA RATON, Fla. (Jan. 20, 2015) — e-Council today announced that it has been accredited by the Florida Bar to offer “Visa Options for Foreign Entrepreneurs,” a continuing legal education (CLE) webinar series designed to educate Florida attorneys and other business professionals about the complexities and requirements of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa program and other business-related visas.

“Visa Options for Foreign Entrepreneurs” offers Florida attorneys an opportunity to earn CLE credits and provides business developers and other professionals with valuable insight on EB-5 and other business visas. The series will feature monthly courses on a range of topics including general EB-5 information; how to properly vet potential EB-5 projects for greater success; certain non-immigrant business visas; visa business plan requirements; and more.

Non-immigrant visa options offer foreign investors and business owners exposure to the U.S. business arena. Few visas lead directly to a green card, which makes the EB-5 program an attractive option for those seeking permanent residency.

The EB-5 program has grown steadily since it was approved by Congress 25 years ago. According to an analysis of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services data recently released by the Association to Invest in the USA, the petitions approved by USCIS in 2014 to participate in the EB-5 program and obtain permanent resident status represented approximately $2.6 billion in capital for U.S. business projects and more than 16,000 jobs. In addition, the number of investors seeking to participate in the program has increased by 72 percent over 2013 and is expected to grow. Business developers have flocked to the program as a way to secure low-interest capital for projects, while foreign investors see it as a pathway to permanent U.S. residency for themselves and their families.

The first webinar, titled “Business Visa Options: Which One Is Best for Your Client?” is scheduled for Thursday, February 5 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. For additional information and to register, please visit
